Mina Maeda

 

Mina Maeda is a founder of two fashion labels,  Grosgrain the Sophisticated Hats and Self-Care organic cotton wear KOTONE.  

She has over 15 years of experience in apparel design and production management.

 

Formerly, she worked for 7 years in the fashion-creating firm Brücke in Tokyo as a production manager and designer assistant for movie costume design, theatrical costume design, and commercials and fashion stills.

She started  Grosgrain in the year 2011.  Moved from Japan and has lived in Adelaide, Australia, since 2018.  She launched her long-dreamed clothing label,  the self-care organic cotton wear brand KOTONE, with a determination that it would be strongly needed under stressful life during the pandemic in the year 2021. 

She continuously works as a designer and a fashion consultant for other projects, such as Synapsewear and the development of apparel products for other Japanese companies.

前田 美奈子

オーストラリア・アデレード在住のファッションディレクター。

幼少よりバービー人形を黙々と一人着替えさせ続ける。7歳の時に母から赤い木の裁縫箱をもらって以来針と糸が大好きな少女時代を送る。高校時代は音楽部で衣装を手がけ家庭科室でミシンに乗り続けた。大学卒業後出版社勤務の傍ら長年の夢であったファッションデザインと服作りをバンタンで学び、2005年より株式会社ブリュッケにて伊藤佐智子氏のもとプロダクションマネジメント・デザイナーアシスタントとしてスチール・ムービーの衣装製作、商品開発に携わる。2011年より自分自身のデザインを形にするため帽子ブランド Grosgrain をスタート。出産を機にフリーとなり、他社のアパレルデザイン・コンサルティング業務を行う他、Grosgrainの活動を本格始動。2018年よりオーストラリア・アデレードに移住。

 

2021年よりパンデミック下のストレスフルな日常を心地よいウェアでリラックスする一時を、とオーガニックコットンウェアのKOTONE（コトネ）をスタート。

現在は二つのブランド運営のほか、synapseWear 他、企業のアパレルデザイン・プロダクションマネジメント・海外市場に向けたコンサルティング業務を提供している。
